Hoi9：立體 Collage 喺香港喺好奢侈的，我地個陣有地方可以任砌，literally。成本效益都係FP當時既考慮。當時都真係唔知有咩人會有興趣玩，都係由身邊朋友或者FPC早期會員開始埋班。
3D collage is a luxury in Hong Kong. Back then, we were able to freely assemble, literally. Cost-efficiency was a priority concern at FP. At that time, we had no certainty anyone would join us for fun, so we basically started inviting friends and their acquaintances to form our events.
fukkuen：果年有新地方， 可能一開始又諗唔到加啲乜嘢正經展覽，咪睇下用最低嘅成本可以做到啲乜， 橫掂有個地方。
Back then we had a new place. Guess in the beginning we couldn’t think of much to do such as serious, proper exhibitions. Naturally, we thought of what we could do together with minimum spending. Space was what we got.
Andio: Chun Chun? Hoi 9? and friends. 當時比較少發起活動，但加入。我估係多人然後又多嘢之下發生的？因爲起步階段，FP 要有事發生，加上南區很多事發生。
Chun, Hoi9, friends… At that time, we did not initiate that many events, but we let people join us. I suppose there were more people and so more happened. Since FP was in its initial moments, something’s got to happen; there were many things happening at Island South.

黃竹坑聚疊（二）：當摸著石頭，拾了一箱紙蝴蝶

我還記得那天晚上應該是星期六，剛進駐在隔離ADC Art space 的幾位藝術家及幾位路過的朋友在小聚，是我煮飯的，他們吃飽飯好像沒事幹又不知往那裡去，那時的據點正好是黃竹坑一帶不錯的聚腳點。食飽之後，不記得誰去了那破掉的鋼琴去彈起來，thomas那天帶著尺八，其他人也不甘示弱，隨手拿起一些東西就在發出聲音製做節奏。我一直沒有什麼行動，就是看了一看時間，這段即興演奏突然開始並持續了三十分鐘。完的一刻還真的是頗有默契地以 fade out 的方法作結的。
然後我問了大家一句：下星期六是South Island Cultural District 個活動，我哋不如嗰晚做一次咁樣既演出？
那時是我第一次體會藝術工場的自由。
與此同時，藝術工場卻不被認為是工業用途，氣急之下，翻查工業用詞彙表，精心選了一個作為演出的名目。

I vaguely recall that it was a Saturday evening. Several friends who just moved into the ADC Art Space in the Wong Chuk Hang neighborhood came over with a few friends to hang out at FP. I cooked. Everyone was full and had not made plans to go anywhere. FP seemed the right place for an unplanned gathering. Thomas had with him a Shakuhachi (a longitudinal end-blow flute), and other folks started to take up just any object around them to jam, resulting in a rhythmic sound ensemble. I was just watching. The improvisation lasted 30 minutes. Purely through a kind of silent consent, the whole performance ended with a neat fade-out.
Then I asked everyone, “Why don’t we do this again one another evening? Next Saturday, an event in the name of the South Island Cultural District is on.”
That was the first time I had experienced the freedom of an art production space.
In the meantime, knowing that “artistic production” might not be recognized as legitimate “industrial use,” I searched through glossary lists on industrial production, and came up with the term “spatial pressure calibration” for our future object-sound jams.

即場材料捐助：相當於二十個一元硬幣重量的物料，或更重的貨品
